Overview

Halfsies ("the Game") is developed and published by Mo/Jo.Industries. This policy describes how we handle your information.

Information We Collect

Halfsies collects minimal data necessary to provide the game experience:

• Player ID: A random, anonymous identifier generated when you first play. It is not tied to your identity, device, or any account.
• Display name: Defaults to "Player #XXXX" (a randomly assigned number). If you sign in with Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android), your platform display name may be used instead. This name is shown on leaderboards and may be visible to other players.
• Leaderboard data: Game scores, shapes completed, and platform (iOS/Android) are submitted to our server for global leaderboard rankings.
• Audit logs: IP addresses and user-agent strings are logged alongside your player ID for rate limiting and anti-abuse purposes. This data is used only for anti-abuse purposes and is not used for tracking or advertising.

How Your Data Is Stored

• On your device: Scores, player ID, and game progress are stored locally.
• On our server: Leaderboard rankings are stored on Cloudflare infrastructure.

Advertising

We use Google AdMob to serve non-personalized ads. No advertising IDs or user profiles are collected for ad targeting. AdMob may collect basic contextual data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

In-App Purchases

All in-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see or store any payment information.

Information We Do Not Collect

• No emails, phone numbers, or account credentials
• No location, contacts, camera, or microphone data
• No behavioral tracking or analytics

Shared Challenges

When you generate and share a challenge, a shareable link or code is created. This does not contain any personal information.

Third-Party Services

• Google AdMob — non-personalized ads
• Cloudflare — leaderboard hosting and infrastructure
• Apple Game Center / Google Play Games — optional sign-in and display name
• Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing for in-app purchases

Data Retention

Leaderboard data is retained indefinitely unless you request deletion. Audit logs (IP addresses, user-agent strings) are also retained indefinitely for anti-abuse purposes. You may request deletion of any server-side data by contacting us at the address below.

Data Deletion

You can clear all local data by uninstalling the app. To request deletion of server-side leaderboard data or audit logs, contact us at the address below.

Children's Privacy

Halfsies does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game does not require account creation or submission of personal data to play. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
